One night only! A special double bill of classic B-movie chillers from the 1950s and '60s, plus spooky shorts before each feature – all on 16mm film. Plus door prizes!
In the Roger Corman production QUEEN OF BLOOD (1966), Earth scientists detect a distress call from an alien spaceship that has crashed on Mars. A team of astronauts (including a young Dennis Hopper) investigates, finding a lone survivor: a mysterious green-skinned alien who is as alluring as she is mute. On the flight home, they soon discover she is actually a space vampire! Trapped between worlds, who will win the battle to survive?! Incorporating eye-popping effects footage lifted from two Soviet space operas, director Curtis Harrington transcends his tiny budget to craft a memorably atmospheric sci-fi horror gem.
“One of the more eerie space-films of the era...positively chilling.” Cinema Retro
PLUS! A SECRET SECOND FEATURE! Another rarely-screened AIP classic: a mind-controlled woman is transformed into a blood-thirsty primordial monster! Not to be missed!
